About

About Rooted Oak.

At Rooted Oak Counseling, I strive to create a collaborative environment of compassion, safety, and support for individual adolescents, families, and adults throughout the lifespan. I believe that my focus on wellness, combined with competent clinical care, may just be the help you need to overcome challenges and achieve the goals you desire. I strive to practice with sensitivity and concern for all aspects of an individual's identity to promote physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual health. By supporting others in their journey toward healing, it is my sincere longing that people will experience renewed peace, restored hope, and freedom. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), having earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am also a National Certified Counselor, a recognition awarded by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Prior to my counseling career, I worked for more than ten years in office administration. My passion to work as a counselor is motivated in part by the experience of serving in Christian ministry alongside my husband, Chris, who has been a leader and pastor in the Charleston-Summerville area since 2005. Through my own personal journey of healing, faith in Christ, and seeing the great need for therapeutic care, I developed a passion to help individuals find wholeness through clinically-sound and spiritually-integrated counseling. Personally, I enjoy the creative arts, hiking with friends, and traveling with my family. Day-to-day, I enjoy spending time with my husband and growing as a mother to our three wonderful, young sons.
